The Julian Agenda

Consistency is key when it comes to pretty much everything because it can get you places.

However, my version of consistency when it comes to writing is not egalitarian, but far more serious.

For the visually impaired fam, the picture above is a screenshot of a quoted tweet from Twitter dated July 19, 2020. The inside square reads I think Julian is such a hot name for a guy and I have yet to see a man in real life, film or TV have the name Julian and be hot as hell and I'm fed up to be very honest. The quoted tweet dated May 16, 2021 reads I'm very committed to having every project of mine feature a hot guy named Julian. Deadass.

I call it The Julian Agenda and as your soon to be favorite storyteller, I hope that you'll stand with me as push this agenda on the world.

I don't remember what sparked my obsession with the name Julian although I suspect it probably happened one day I was a on a baby name site looking a name for a script and was like "Oh! That's perfect!" and it probably stuck.

I think Julian is such a strong name for a guy. The kind of name that exudes intelligence, confidence and sex appeal. Unfortunately, the Julian representation I have seen in film and television has been the very opposite of that and I think it is a travesty.

As your soon to be favorite storyteller, I can guarantee you that all of my projects will feature a very hot guy named Julian that is a romance novel fantasy come true but on screen. I am proud to say that I every script I have written (the first one being written about 2015-ish) has featured a hot guy named Julian.

Sorkin has had Margaret/Maggie recur in his projects, I have Julian. I am building a multi-verse of Hot Julians in my world.

I'm still thinking of actors I would want to portray my Julians. I have Trevante Rhodes, Oscar Isaac, and Boris Kodjoe on a list on the whiteboard in my head but I'm always keeping my eyes open for potential Julians.

Anybody else I should add to the list of future Julians? Drop their names in the comments.
