Another year down.
Whew.
I must say that I am absolutely THRILLED to be starting a new year and a new decade. And it isn't because I had a terrible year or anything (it was the opposite actually) but I'm so excited to see what 2020 has in store and what the 2020 decade will bring. Lots of people on social media are doing their look back at the year and decade and the only thing I've looked back on is my writing.
What I love about writing is that you can see the levels of growth and development as time and practice go on. This year I've learned to be more concise in dialogue and description and I've also played around more in both comedy and drama. Both experiments resulted in stunning successes that I'm proud of, especially my new comedy pilot. I also took a look back at some of my older scripts and realized just how far I've come as a person and a writer and quite frankly, I am very freaking proud of that.
I've set up my 2020 writing goals and I'm excited for the uncharted territory I'll be exploring and getting to flex another muscle I haven't tried before. More growth, new stories. Love that for me.
